Monthly Blog - Sept 2013
The summer was great this year for showing. I had kept three puppies for my breeding program. Brandy, a lovely little chocolate parti, Merida a gorgeous black and white and Dee, a red sable. All three girls finished their championship in record time. Wendy did very well in the breed ring and is now in the US finishing her championship there. She took breed in the US this month which was very nice. We will of course be at the big Havanese Regional in Oct. Looking forward to the new smaller venue, it's really nice and way less running and mileage than Tradex. Hope to see many of you there, we will be at the Havanese tables in grooming
We moved this summer, not just once but twice so the summer was extremely hectic for us. That's putting it nicely the summer was hell. As such we did not breed for late summer puppies at all, we were just too swamped. Mykensie also started University in Ontario this year, so we got her already and took two weeks to take her out there and get her settled. We are in the Thompson Okanadan area, still close to Vancouver. Not to worry we will still deliver puppies to the coast as we are there for dog shows, meetings etc. almost every week.
Now moved and somewhat settled and catching up on paperwork and doggie duties we did three breedings in Sept. Cleo was bred to Oreo, expect some nice black and whites here. Peter was bred to Panda, sables and black and whites, and D'Mandy was a repeat breeding to Cuba as we loved the puppies so much last time. This is the litter that my new little girl Merida came out of.
Puppies are ready to go home end of Dec right around Christmas
